2009 was by-far a watershed for the Construction Industry, a complete collapse of the housing industry. Some builders engaged in price cuts, layoffs and overhead adjustments while a few were involved in investing time into more futuristic plans. One of them was evaluating & adopting newer & better technologies.
|
Speaking to a few home builders, we found out everyone was exploring ways to get to the same common goal albeit via different approaches.
“We have to learn and adopt new technologies to better service our clients, remain in touch and keep our sales force upto date on the use of these technologies; at the end of the day the people in the field have to get the data into a format and location from where we can run CRM reports” said Ricardo Clouthier, President of Impulsa (www.impulsarealestate.com). Impulsa has been one of the early adopters of Cloud CRM using the Builders CoPilot powered web CRM Software.

| "We have been working with Builders CoPilot CRM Software for 6 months now which is really a good product that lets us run marketing campaign
via its CRM solution in an automated manner and that allows us to have a deep insight into how the end user responds to the marketing campaign. |
It has a really good automated Prospect Management System that is very easy and user friendly and good value for our dollars. It is not at all expensive and it beats the hell out of all the systems out there primarily because of the ROI it achieves." said Gary Werner, President of Franciscus Homes (www.franciscushomes.com ) and Russell Clark from Franciscus Homes.
Home Builders will start to look at Cloud Computing & Cloud CRM in a more adoptive manner than before since it reduces their direct involvement into IT overheads, IT Staff, Technology innovations, backups and other relevant headaches to keep the systems running. They get access to their data 24*7 and have their data available in easily downloadable formats as and when they need it. Builders don’t have to now worry about upgrading their servers, networks or any hardware to keep the systems running at their best. |

|
The only flip side to Cloud Computing today is the protocols to effectively communicate with other third party systems that are not so ahead of their game. The answer to that is a good middle ware that can work as a staging area to collect data from different disparate systems and feed into one central computer, the Cloud. With the coming of the Cloud, SaaS has obtained a different dimension of its own.
Builders CoPilot Cloud CRM solution (Going Live in mid April 2010) will be the first of its kind to provide Cloud Computing to Home Builders coupled with IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service).
